Home Room Parents (HRP’s) are rewarded with a great sense of involvement in their children’s class activities and the school.
In most classes, we have a few parents sharing responsibilities, so the workload is not heavy, and many tasks can be done from home on a flexible time schedule away from school.

HRP Team Duties:
The Communications Liasion acts as head HRP for the class; serves as main contact between HRP coordinator and classroom parents; creates and maintains email list of all classroom parents; communicates with parents about school-wide and classroom news; makes contact with parents who do not have email to deliver communications.
The Teacher’s Helper serves as teacher’s contact for help organizing classroom activities and tasks, including parties, field trips, learning celebrations; provides clerical support to teachers, such as copying, cutting, etc.; solicits other parent volunteers to help when needed.
The School/Classroom Liaison serves as contact for teacher on school-wide events such as Octoberama, Science Fair, International Festival, etc.; coordinates teacher appreciation events; solicits volunteers from among classroom parents to make classroom participation successful.
