Please join us – volunteer during the final Maker Movement of this school year: Tuesday April 19 to Thursday April 21 (1st grade – May 10, 11, 12). All sessions will be lead by our technology teacher, Cindy Sanders, and held in the Discovery/Computer Lab. We are hoping to have 4 parents in each class to support Mrs. Sanders by assisting small groups of children with hands-on-projects.
These sessions will build on the previous Maker Movement projects and will focus on circuits, Makey Makey and possibly some computer programming. This is a great way to have fun and support your child’s learning experience on campus. Please find your child’s class in Signup Genius and sign up to come explore science and technology with our inquisitive kids.
Please mark your calendars as our next installment of Maker Movement is happening from Tuesday, February 23rd to Thursday, February 25th!
This month, we will support our wonderful technology teacher, Mrs Sanders, during your child’s Maker Lab period. We need an extra 4 adults during each period to help her with Makey Makey projects and possibly Little Bits in older grades (stay tuned for more information). These specific projects are designed to introduce/reinforce circuitry skills in a fun way. Please check the calendar on the sign-up genius here for your child’s period, and volunteer! https://www.signupgenius.com/go/20f0d44abad2ea7fc1-makers
This is a great opportunity to stay connected with your child’s classroom while helping out and having fun! The kids will be so excited to work on this right after STEAM day (coming up on February 19th).
Our next installment of Maker Movement is coming up (week of 12/14) and WE NEED YOU! Please take a look at the calendar through the Sign-up Genius link below to find your child(ren)’s Maker day and time.
