LIBRARY
The Mathews Elementary Library serves all of the school community through a diverse collection of books, author visits, and other culturally enriching programming. All students visit the library for a weekly lesson and checkout time. We welcome and invite parent and community volunteers to our library.

Ms. Velázquez is originally from one of the largest cities in the world, Mexico City. She has lived in Texas most of her life and enjoys living in Austin.
Although Ms. Velázquez has been the librarian at Mathews since 2017, she has been a part of the Mathews community since her oldest sons attended in the early 2010s. She loves being a part of such an amazing campus with wonderful students and dedicated staff.
